but ... with lego you get small bricks that have simple, abstract shapes, and you can build anythign out of them that you can imagine. with playmobil you get huuuge parts, like walls that can only be used to make a house, or a whole car, basically it's just the same as barbie: playing with dolls. this only works with friends, which is not bad, andd it's generally very nice if you're still in kindergarten. but there comes a time when playmobile grows old and lego is still good for new adventures ... many more possibilities, no?

see, it's a parody. if you didn't read dabblers and blowhards and some of graham's essays, of course you can't recognise what it's a parody of. but even so it should have been painfully obvious that it's a bunch of random non sequiturs, a festering pile of bullshit, an accumulation of patent nonsense that is not meant to be taken seriously.

well, you're talking about ICQ clients by Mirabilis. i stopped using those when they started using up my bandwidth and screen space with advertisements. which was earlier than 99 as well, IIRC. i still use the ICQ network, which i never noticed being in beta. apart from any warning label missing, it really seems to still be in early alpha though.

i admire those jazz magazines that simultaneously make you do repetitive tasks with one of your limbs, while drinking a glass of jizz and not at all looking like this was straining or stressful in any way. turbinetrevor seems to be the only among them, which is odd because among jizz drinkers in general, they're a dwindling minority. maybe their brains are better suited for the job.

of course the question wasn't serious, all the actual content was in the posting, with the headline being nothing more than a semi-nifty handle for that. so, i assumed the answer wasn't 100% serious and neither was the reply to the answer :-)

but you mentioned a good point there. even when there's a simple, plausible explanation for oddities like male nipples, creationists will explicate how this can't be true because the whole idea of evolution is nonsense, and climax in saying, with a teletubby-voice, something hilarious like "why, because god wants us to play with them!"

sometimes, when i'm bored, i contemplate what i would answer to such a statement and i'm thankful for every source of inspiration, as the task is really difficult.
