the red cross was founded in 1836 in switzerland. the logo was chosen for economical reasons. as the flags used to mark medics as non-combatants were manufactured in the same shop as the swiss flags, they just took the parts left over from cutting out swiss flags and sewed them together. ... there was the story with the silver fish, and then there was the irradiated skull, oil-slick-like rainbow colours on muddy bodies in technical illustrations, the aphorism about addiction, and the story about new tools force you to adapt your entire workflow, as otherwise exactly that which had been making your work so great all that time might now be what totally destroys it. ... be careful with those shoulder pads. when you see arthur, do not spread your arms in that 'come here and give me a hug' way of yours. you know, it makes the pads, well, rise. it looks as if your head is directly attached to your torso, without any neck, and your arms don't appear to be connected to your shoulders any longer, but to stick awkwardly out of the sides of your chest instead. you'd look like a scarecrow. ...
