i was so tired that even speaking was hard work. for every word i pondered wheter it was worth being said and ended up not knowing what to say at all. i was rolling innumerable thoughts through my grey matter like children roll snowballs through a snow covered meadow in order to shape the big spheres they need for building snowmen. but my thoughts didn't find any associativities to stick together with and none became significant enough to be couched in terms. she suggested we could build ourselves little snow castles to hide behind and throw our little snowballs at each other. of course both of us were too tired for a serious discussion, so we just insisted on our viewpoints, ridiculed each other's opinions and went to bed. ... okay, so we should end the confusion between the chuquet and the pelletier system by using tetrillion, pentillion, hexillion, heptillion, octillion, nonillion (ennillion?), decillion, hendecillion (undecillion?), dodecillion, tridecillion (triskaidecillion?), tetradecillion (tetrakaidecillion?), pendecillion, hexadecillion, heptadecillion, octodecillion, enneadecillion, ..., hecatocillion, ..., chilillion. and we would wisely refer to 109 as gillion, in order to avoid the trillion which has already caused enough confusion. but how should we call 103 and 106 then? monillion and dillion/dyillion? certainly not, people could confuse the monillion with the million. at the other hand, using million instead of dillion is also quite confusing, isn't it? ...
